First of all, I want to give some background. I came there with a party of 6 on a Friday night. First thing that struck me was live music, something not many restaurants around here do. Second thing is, not too much of a wait time, even with a party my size, because the restaurant is MASSIVE. The waitress was adequate, not stellar, but that's to be expected on a busy Friday night. I ordered the tuna with a half dozen cooked and half dozen raw oysters. The tuna was lightly seasoned, which was fine for me, but others might feel it lacking. The spinach that came with it was the opposite, very heavily seasoned, which was also fine for me, but could very easily be too salty for others. The potatoes were just right. Crispy skin and soft interior. The cooked oysters were perfect, as expected. The raw oysters were a slightly different story, as I was on the toilet for a good hour the morning after. However, as with all uncooked seafood, this is always a risk and one worth taking. Also, it was my birthday, and they didn't fail to impress me with a full size dessert enough to share with my party of 6. Overall, it was a nice experience.
Oysters are amazing, but the other 5 dishes we had were very mediocre. Service is good, parking is not. The restaurant is clean and spacious, kid friendly.
1st time here. Waited forever for beer. Was told they had a trainee behind the bar. Oyster chowder came out with no crackers. Was not worth $8. Barbecued oysters were very good. Got 13! Barbecued shrimp were yum but super heavy on some sort of gravy. Bit cloying after a while. The shrimp with tasdo and grits had no grits. Just a pole of rice. Same gravy. Not worth $90 for dinner at all.
They have best roasted oysters of anyplace I've ever been which includes New Orelans. Good service n reasonable prices too.
This was my first time going there. It was awesome. I love the oysters, the drinks, the atmosphere. Our waistress Mazi was the bomb. Happy 26 Anniversary to us
