I have heard good reviews. I may go back one distance day from today.
Very good Mex-(TexMex). Salsas before meal were quite good - One red served red with burnt tomatoes and peppers was hot and the other was served cold with lime, chilled, and smashed black beans. The chips erect fresh, thin and warm. Margarita made to order was perfect for my wife. My beer was ice cold. Chilie Rellanos, tamale, cheese/beef/chicken enchiladas were well made. Three more tablespoons of sauce on each would have made them less dry and succulent. Friendly/prompt waitstaff. Warning! Has nothing on the walls, floor, and ceiling to attenuate noise - - PLACE IS NOISY!
It's brand new and they're working out some kinks, fine. But it's got a really great open and modern space. The menu is not life altering but a good mix of traditional and unique offerings. Margaritas are diverse and well made. Staff is very friendly. Valet parking, though unnecessary is nice.
My first time was not the best. My burrito was sitting in a puddle of grease. I sent it back and ate part of my husband's tacos. This were basic in my opinion.
The food was served about eight minutes after our order. The enchiladas tasted like they had been cooked and then reheated. The rest of our orders were tasty. The waiter was attentive but she made our dinner experience feel rushed and hurried. We came to the restaurant to enjoy the company of good friends and eat good food. It would help if the waiter would give diners time to enjoy the a good dining experience and relax without constantly interrupting to take plates before everyone was finished eating.
Considering that the price is being charged to your expected the food to be better. The dips that come with the chips are quite good and I like some of the enchilada options but the beans were too salty to eat. The apple pie dessert really is a showstopper though. And our server was consistently excellent throughout our meal.
