My family and I have had to entrust the care of a loved one to Select Specialty Hospital (Jackson, Ms) on several occasions. Upon every admission, the staff was faced with the challenges of stabilizing a patient other hospitals were not equipped to care for. Select not only accepted those challenges but went above and beyond the call of duty.
What impresses me the most about this facility is the professionalism, compassion, and its expertise. The doctors always showed a strong sense of confidence when making difficult decisions in critical situation. The staff's concern for the patients and their families always felt sincere, and I can not forget all the times staff members took time out their busy schedules to listen and even encourage me when my faith was wavering.

Dr. Johnson, Dr. Marshall, Marvin Moore (RN/case manager), Erin (RN), Trina (RN), Trinol (Admission), Mary (RN), Heather (RN), and Marcus (Tech) are only a few of the men and women I had an exceptional encounter with, and I am truly grateful. May God continue to bless all that you do.
Great place they have taken good care of my father for 3 weeks now
Placed my sister here after a stroke. They hardly ever did what they told us they would do. There were some good nurses, but most would only come in when requested - once we were able to find them. Totally mislead by neurologist. Doctors on staff spent under a minute most days. One did stay long enough to ask ME about her condition. Caseworker kept us spinning like crazy up until the time we left, I'm talking 5 minutes!!! I complained several times to the CEO, and only got excuses. Therapy was token, some not even every day.
I am a retired health care professional. When my son became ill I was in the role of family member. Within the first few days of admittance to Select Specialty I had interacted with enough gifted, extraordinarily competent, personable, and detail oriented staff and administration personnel to know that what can be done will be done here. So I was free to exhale and spend precious time with my son as his Mom.
