Spent a few hours in the ER with my husband. All of the staff were prompt, friendly and knowledgeable. They were very busy but my husband was well cared by all of the staff assigned to him . Thank you Baptist Hospital.

Thank you, Baptist Medical Center, for showing us your true care & concern for your patients.

Due to a torn tendon in my right bicep my PCP referred me to the emergency room at the Baptist Medical Center in Jackson for imaging

Yet what they did was to throw me out of their hospital, force me to walk for blocks on crutches in excruciating pain and caused me to further injure my ruptured tendon. And that's not all, they threw us out onto a street in an area that has the highest crime rate in the state; where only a few weeks earlier a young girl was murdered while sitting in her car at a stop light. My wife and I were forced to walk up to and cross the street at that very same light, and for what - nothing. We caused no problems, never even raised our voices and when asked to "Go" we left without a word.We left stunned, hurt, humiliated, scared to death and in tears.

I had surgery at the Center for Women a few days ago. Dr. W. Wolfe did an excellent job and the floor nurses Fran, Karin, Brooke and Lizzy gave me incredible care. Oh yeah and the man that collected the blood work I think his name is Mr. Wood was gentle and kind. Thanks Baptist for making my surgery a pleasant experience!

Now for my problem, after being transported to the Emergency Room in Jackson where I was seen, diagnosed and referred to Sports Medicine for a ruptured tendon . I was released from the E.R. at 3:28 p.m. at which time my wife called the Transport Co. for a return ride home. After numerous conversations with the transportation co. they finally called us at 6:05 p.m. to tell us that they would be unable to provided transportation for us. At that point we asked the ladies at the intake desk if they knew of any alternatives that we might be able to pursue as we live in Edwards, ms and could not afford to pay for a taxi ride home. They did offer us a voucher, however, the voucher was only good as far as Clinton and you had to have an address in Clinton to go to. Having just moved here from Arizona we do not even know anyone in Clinton let alone have an address to go to. At that point I wheeled myself outside to think for a minute & a minute later my wife joined me, in tears, and told me that she had been informed that we were to leave the property immediately and within seconds a security officer appeared and asked us to leave. I tried to explain to the officer that we had been stranded and due to my physical condition that it would be very difficult for me to leave. His response was and I quote, "I really don't care, you have run out of options and you have to leave now." He then asked me to get out of the wheelchair, handed me my crutches and told my wife & I to "GO".

I never felt so out of place then today! Smart ass attitude and all! Had I not been sick somebody would have got cursed out! If u are a nurse or doctor and u don’t wanna work with sick people then quit! Made me think I was at umc! This definitely was a visit to remember! Stop judging people on they appearance and thinking everybody is on drugs! Dr. Dirk H Danielson that comment u made when u left the room was not funny!

I am a 67 year old man that is handicapped by numerous injuries and illnesses that have been diagnosed by, and treated by, Baptist Health Systems. I have been told by Doctors, Nurses and staff not to worry that they would take good care of me, that I would receive the best of care and that they would do their best to make me well and I believed them.

that they were unable to do at the Baptist Clinic in Clinton. Please note that I have degenerative disk disease, scoliosis and am recovering from a compression fracture. I am also being treated for vasculitis of the feet and need crutches to walk which in turn caused the damage to my right bicep. Therefore, I am unable to drive and am dependent on Medical Transport to get me back and forth to my appointments.
