A good place to shop. Upper Level and a lower level. Shoes repair shop. Barber shop , water company pay your bill and a lot more.
I don't understand why they consider this a "Mall". This would have been relevant in the "Early 90's - Mid 2000". In my opinion, anyone commenting on the absence of this place not having stores or how the "Food Court" doesn't have "food" needs to... nevermind...
I was so sad to see how many stores were closed but my daughter and I walked around and I told her about the malls "Good Ol Days!! " We found a Rainbow's and shopped for hours!!
Well, what can you say about good old metro center. I grew up going here, shopping every weekend, and going with family. Well, that has changed, metro is a mere shadow of its former self. I had to go there to get a duplicate of my license, that was the only reason for my trip. There are hardly many stores inside anymore, you can pay bills, like water there, and I saw a shoe repair shop. Other that that, lots of phone kiosks, for cases, and the like. Poor metro center, 3 stars.
Reminisce: Diamond Jims, Camelot Records, D.H. Holmes, Sears, Dillards, Champs, Foot Locker, Orange Julius, McDonald's (when the food was "really good"), K.B. Toys, Radio Shack... etc.
Resolution: "Rename" this place. Reference the "Jackson Mall". Truly invest in the infrastructure (parking lot, area surrounding, etc.)
This mall is sadly one of many struggling old school indoor malls. It has some places worth checking out such as American Deli and Red Apple inn foodwise. Also there is City Gear Foot Action Foot Locker Finish Line and Champs as well as also Lids and Burlington Coat Factory among a few other things.
