So if you want a ho-hum job and a nasty man harassing you, just hire Corey of Dependable. Otherwise, be smart and go on to the next one - because the next one will likely be way, way better than Cory at Dependable - who is a big drag.
At mid-month I had a lot of bills, so I sent everyone a partial payment, including $400 of the $800 to Corey. When he got the check he launched into madness - acting like I had ripped him off for the entire sum - when he had been paid $2800 and was owed only $400. He made countless nasty, threatening calls, plus email after email of snarky attacks and threats - acting like he had not been paid a dime. Then he repeatedly called and harassed the property manager who has no responsibility to pay him.
If you want a bad experience just hire Corey at Dependable Lawn and Tree. I am in California and a tree fell at my rental in Jackson MS. I made a BIG mistake hiring Corey. He bid me $3200 and said to send 50% to start. I did and after he deposited my check, he DEMANDED that I pay an additional $1600 before he would "start" the work. He claimed he had to do this because some guy in Calif had cheated him. Huh?
I am the owner of Dependable Roofing and are responding to Potters review. This review has nothing to do with this business. This lady is very difficult to deal with, rude, cursed me repeatedly and tried to belittle me. This day and time you cant be to careful with out state customers. Contractors are being burned all the time. This lady opinion doesn't reflect our reputation in anyway
Photos of the root ball showed it raised up in the air about 4-5 feet - when Corey had said it would fall back into the hole - well it did not. Corey's work was VERY ho-hum and his attitude is VERY bad. Big disappointment - left me a mess.
After a go-around Corey finally agreed to honor his word and go remove the tree. When he said that it was done - there was a big pile of limbs and brush in front of the house. So I sent him $800 until I would hear from the property manager who could tell me if (so-called) Dependable had removed it.
