Was just looking, but the staff were quite friendly and helpful.
ATTENTION GUITAR CENTER CUSTOMERS: Make sure that you get the gear that is posted on the website. Sometimes the listings are incorrect and you will not get what you pay for. The best thing is to call the store before you order and get specific details about the product you want. I recently sold guitar center a classic t pro and they have it listed as a custom classic t which it is not. I bought this guitar for $1500 about 2 years ago and they have it listed for a whopping $1999.99! Shame on them!
I absolutely love guitar center. They have very friendly staff and they are very helpful. They also have a wide variety of music products in their store.
Walked in and was greeted well, that's where it ended, it took 20 mins for someone to actually help, the 1st guy started helping then walked off and started helping someone else, then walked by and asked if the new guy was getting us, like it was his first time seeing us.
Other than that, the staff is friendly and knowledgeable for the most part. this is surprising because Guitar Center doesn't compensate their employees very well at all. The way that commission is paid is an absolute joke.
Will be checking out other option's for music stores, that's ashamed considering I spent $600 on 2 acoustic guitars, bags, straps ect.
This store has the best selection in town by a long shot. Personally, I feel like the prices could be a little bit more competitive with the online market. I understand that the convenience of having everything in a one-stop-shop is very valuable alone, but it seems like there is always a little bit too much wiggle room as far as the price point is concerned. If you can convince your salesperson to do so, some items can stand to take as much as a 30% discount from the posted price. This means that the store is still making a profit and the salesperson a commission. This is especially true with used gear. Having to ask for a discount isn't something that I just enjoy doing. Why not have a fair price and not have to haggle? .
The last guy was very helpful and attentive, I would go back again if I could deal with him only.
