We are traveling across the country in our motorhome, and were at a campground in Vicksburg a few days ago when one of our elderly dogs passed away in the middle of the night. We didn't know any veterinarians in the area, so I checked google maps for pet crematories. I found Best Friends. I waited until 7:00 to call to find out if we could bring her to them later that morning. Eddy was so kind, and assured me that someone would be there to receive Heidi when we arrived. When we arrived, Jeff was there and could not have been nicer or more compassionate. We were able to pick Heidi's ashes up the next afternoon. Sadly, the very next day, another of our elderly dogs, Violet, began having uncontrollable seizures and we had to make the decision to let her go. I called Jeff and he recommended a great veterinary clinic to take her to. We are scheduled to leave for our next destination tomorrow, so we were concerned that we would have to have Violet's cremains shipped to us somewhere. But, Jeff assured us that they could have her ready for us to pick up before we leave. We delivered her to them this morning, shortly after leaving the veterinarian, and picked her up this afternoon. Everyone at Best Friends were so nice and compassionate. They made our double grief much more bearable. THANK YOU!!!
These guys are the best in the business. We haveused their sevices twice now. They are so kind and easy and caring during a tramatic event in our lives. They are respectful and affordable. They will come to you or your vet whatever is easiest for you. They will deliver, UPS, or fedex the remains to you whatever you choose. Just cant say enough about these guys. If your thinking about cremation for you fur baby Best Friends is the best and cheapest place hands down.
I had heard nothing but praises about this place and staff from two different Veterinarians over the years. Unfortunately, on Labor Day, I had to call on them. I didn't expect an answer on the holiday. I was leaving a message as Jeff was calling me back. I was able to get my precious 16 year old cat to him on that day. As much praise as I had heard about them, didn't come close to what I witnessed. I can't even begin to explain how awesome they are. How caring they are. As badly as I hate I will probably soon be making another visit to them, I am relieved I have them to turn to.
My first experience with cremation was so wonderful. I dealt with Jeff and he was so kind to me. I got my kitty back today and now I'll have her with me forever. Thank you Jeff, and all the wonderful folks at Best Friends
Very professional and compassionate. I've had to use them a few times. They will pick up your pet from any location or you are welcome to go there. If you want a special urn or box they have plenty to choose from. Having your beloved pet family member treated with respect is extremely helpful in an emotional and stressful time.
